Committee Kurrollu Review: The Cinematography is Excellent

Despite having newcomers in the key parts, Niharika Konidela’s “Committee Kurrullo” managed to attract attention thanks to her clever promotion of the show.

The hamlet of Godavari provides the backdrop for this tale. Siva thinks back on his younger self. He tells his little daughter a story about the wonderful times they had as kids, focusing on the adventures they had with their pals. Siva is now waiting for his friends to come back from wherever they have gone and gotten jobs.

A friend’s death shattered their bond, and the group of pals didn’t get back together until the Jathara event, which was twelve years ago. We need another Jathara now.

Is it possible that these friends will put their differences aside and connect? Have they any intention of assisting Siva in becoming the village Sarpanch?

Performances by Artistes: The casting is spot on. Every member of the cast is a relative newbie with the exception of a handful of well-known performers including Goparaju Ramana, Sreelakshmi, and Saikumar.

The new performers who played Subbu, Siva, and William are particularly noteworthy.

All of the actors have been fantastic

The technical and production elements of the film are outstanding, particularly when one considers that it showcases actors who are relatively new to the industry.

The creators spared no expense in giving the Jathara episodes an authentic and majestic look. Your outlay of funds is plainly seen on the screen.

It has stunning cinematography. In addition to filming other scenes in an aesthetically pleasing manner, the filmmaker recorded the magnificent magnificence of the Godavari region.

Along with the topic, the music elevates and harmonises it. There need to have been more accuracy in the editing and screenplay composition, particularly in the second half.

Analysis

It has an intriguing core premise. The plot of “Committee Kurrollu” was predictable: it began with a sprinkle of humour, became gripping in the middle, and then devolved into tedious emotional fare, much like the several prior films that dealt with friendship ties, nostalgia, village concerns, and adolescent romances.

“Committee Kurrollu,” helmed by Yadhu Vamsi, follows a group of friends as they navigate the ups and downs of friendship, from a small quarrel about community and caste distinctions to their eventual reunion.

Incorporating a local jathara episode reminiscent of “Kantara” and imbuing it with a “Happy Days”-style friendship and romance, Yadhu Vamsi breathes new life into the simple story.

Although the film’s early parts—centered on a wistful romance and friendship—seem unremarkable and uninteresting, the filmmaker succeeds in making them captivating later on.

A friend’s rejection from Government Engineering College under the quota system made them acutely conscious of their own castes, setting in motion a chain reaction that eventually led to a major issue. The filmmaker has done an excellent job with this scene.

However, the resolution is ineffectual, and that is the main issue. In spite of a few touching moments in the second half, the plot is mostly predictable. The story also goes from showing a friendship to discussing politics, which leads to a depressing conclusion. There is no denying that the second part has several problems.

We lost steam in the final hour due to the narration.

The middle parts of the film, along with the newcomers’ performances and casting, are its strongest points. One negative aspect is the last hour, which features repetitive narration following the interval.

There are strong and weak points in “Committee Kurrollu” as a whole. People might have liked it more if the second half had been more interesting and not so full of dramatic flourishes and forced emotions. However, for the time being, it is reserved for individuals with emotional hearts who enjoy reminiscence and friends’ reunions.
