Manamey Movie Review

Manamey Movie Review: Delightful Entertainment.

There has been a lot of excitement surrounding Sharwanand’s highly anticipated family film Manamey, particularly following the publication of the trailer. The show seemed like it would be a lot of fun.

The two students, Vikram (Sharwanand) and Subadra (Krithi Shetty), decide to take care of Kushi (Vikram Aditya), a little boy whose parents died in an accident.

Subadra is the boy’s mother’s buddy, while Vikram was the boy’s father’s close friend. After providing care for the infant for four months, they want to hand over duty to Kushi’s grandparents in India.

Is Vikram, who is usually somewhat carefree, up to the task of becoming a parent? Will Subadra be able to control her feelings for Vikram, even though she is engaged to another man?

Performances

Sharwanand gives a fantastic performance as an ultra-cool character. Some funny instances are his playboy antics and interactions with the child.

Krithi Shetty gets kudos for convincingly playing a role that is drastically different from her earlier flicks. She gets along well with Sharwanand.

Little Vikram Adittya steals the show, while Vennela Kishore and Rahul Ramakrishna go about their daily business. In this character, Rahul Ravindran acts foolishly. Seerat Kapoor and Ayesha Khan both have cameos. Lots of people are playing parts, but they don’t amount to anything. Acting as Krithi Shetty’s fiancé, Shiva Kandukuri, is passable.

Technical

In terms of aesthetics, the picture is tops. Outstanding cinematography by Vishnu Sarma and Gnanashekar V.S. complements the first-rate production qualities. To make the picture lavish and magnificent, the producers have spent a bomb.

The music of Hesham Abdul Wahab is all over the place. Although there are a lot of songs in the film, just a few of them work reasonably well. We can’t keep track since there are so many tunes, and they all sound the same, throughout the whole thing.

Even though the editor could have easily trimmed many scenes, the director’s demands seemed to have been too high. The film’s gentle pace and predictable sequences give the impression that it’s longer than 150 minutes. The editor made a mistake with this. Both the script and the directing by Sriram Aditya are average.

Analysis of Manamey

“Manamey” is Sriram Adittya’s latest romantic comedy, and it’s different from his past works in that it focusses more on family entertainment than on young drama.

The filmmaker has laid out the fundamental story premise. Within the first twenty minutes, the plot revolves around Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty’s shared experience of caring for their sick friends’ children. This part is satisfactory. However, the director severely underwhelms in delivering an intriguing narrative of this tragedy after that point.

The supposed comedic parts with Sharwanand’s parenting efforts are barely funny, if at all.

With Krithi Shetty’s engagement to someone else revealed in the opening scenes, the attempt to insert an interval interlude with the same twist comes across as forced and ultimately fails. In addition, we had to exercise patience during the events that followed the interval.

The narrative concerning the adventure that the protagonist, heroine, her fiance, and their child embark upon is incredibly clumsy and poorly written.

Seerat Kapoor’s introduction serves only as a pretext to incorporate a musical number. There are some boring sequences with Krithi Shetty and her fiancé, including one involving the lavatory.

The first half of the film features Rahul Ravindran, who is evil and very dull.

It is evident that the director is unsure of how to go with this plot beyond the central notion of two individuals being compelled to assume parental duties.

No circumstance or feeling is natural. Many well-known films have a romantic component. The second half drags on and on with no real excitement.

The romantic scenes and the feelings of the parents aren’t interesting enough. So, as far as familial drama and love drama are concerned, the picture falls flat.

Sriram Adittya’s “Manamey” is an average attempt; the film features entertaining acting from Sharwanand and a beautiful, expansive backdrop, but the filmmaker struggles to find an interesting way to tell the story. A family romantic comedy that dragged on.
